What motivated your decision to become a lawyer ?

I decided to become a lawyer early in my law studies when my uncle, a writer, faced significant injustice in the valuation of his published works. I saw the need to play a major role in the recovery of his royalties from publishing companies. This steered my drive to not just become a lawyer but an intellectual Property Lawyer which I today practice effortlessly.

Additionally, I saw the need to support underprivileged communities and actively participate in philanthropic initiatives in Cameroon. This has earned me the Leadership role where I was appointed as the President of the Gender and child Commission of the African Bar, Cameroon Branch where I organize lots of activities focusing on women and girl child.

In which areas do you work, and what are your key achievements to date ?

I am passionate about Intellectual Property Law which I practice on daily basis. I am also passionate about business law as this also play a major role in our daily work with clients. Investment law is another key focus—we currently support investors like Radisson Blu Service and Apparts Yaoundé in their projects. I am also involved in alternative dispute resolution and frequently serve as an arbitrator.

Can you tell us about the Women’s IP World Annual 2025, where you are nominated in the “Pro Bono and Public Service” category? What does this entail?

Women IP world is a concept that recognizes leading women in the specialty of intellectual property law in the world. As a Cameroonian female lawyer, I was recognized with the PRO-BONO Award as well as Public Service Award because we sometimes attend to IP clients on a no fee basis yet with a lot of integrity.
